SUBJECT: The Mere Pond is one of the most popular attractions in the village; a place to sit and relax, or somewhere to bring the children to feed the ducks. A small war memorial lies on the bank alongside the pond, and it is said that a bomb fell into the pond during World War II without causing any damage. This scene is more recent and depicts a snowy winter’s day in early January 2011
